Design Automation Engineer Intern

Job Purpose: To gain real world experience by performing the duties of their full time engineering counterparts, managing projects independently
Responsibilities:
Will be involved in conceptualizing unique designs to challenging manufacturing and material handling problems
Assist engineers and plant personnel on implementing automation equipment into a production environment
Develop design solutions, using 3-D CAD software that meet budget, safety, sanitary and production requirements
Work with other engineers to develop budget, scope and timeline requirements to meet specific goals for project completion
Requirements:
Must graduate in December 2015, May 2016 or August 2016 and major in Manufacturing Engineering or Design Automation Technology with a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA
Demonstrated leadership, persuasive, initiative, analytical, and communication skills are necessary for success in this position
Possess a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States

Location and Hours:
Location is based out of our Hayward, Minnesota facility, just 15 miles from our Corporate Office headquarters and flagship plant in Austin, Minnesota
Internship is 6 months, full time, 40 hours per week, beginning late May and will be held on a summer and a semester basis, ending approximately in December
Compensation:
